Mission & Purpose Statement
The Zero Waste & Sustainability Club was founded in 2018 with the goal of helping UC Davis achieve its annual zero waste goal to divert 90% of waste from landfills. Our team aims to make zero waste and sustainability knowledge accessible to our UC Davis community. We achieve this by providing valuable resources and guidance to navigate personal zero waste and sustainability journeys and by educating the public about waste systems.

TIMELINE
The Zero Waste & Sustainability Club was founded by 3rd year student Malia Helms in Fall Quarter of 2018. The founding officers, including Malia Helms, that stayed involved with the club until their graduation were Mira Ashvini Segaran, Noah Maschan, Nikki Yang and Bella Bucheli. The club is now in its fifth academic year since its inception at UC Davis.
