Please note that if you plan on attending, you will need to wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes and clothes that you do not mind getting slightly dirty.
The READ facility was designed and developed over by Dr. Ruihong Zhang, a professor in the BAE department, whose research focuses on treatment and processing of agricultural and food waste for pollution prevention and renewable resource utilization. The digester is located west of the main campus and is responsible for converting organic waste from the dining commons and other partners into clean energy to help power our university.
